मुंबई, दि. १० : माजी राज्यपाल श्री. पद्मनाभ आचार्य यांच्या निधनाचे वृत्त समजून दुःख झाले. देशाच्या एकात्मतेसाठी अव्याहतपणे लढणारे ते सच्चे योद्धे होते. अनेक वर्षे उत्तरपूर्व राज्यात राहून तेथील समस्या समजून घेऊन तेथील नागरिकांना देशाच्या मुख्य प्रवाहात आणण्याचे कार्य त्यांनी व्रतस्थपणे चालवले. नागालँडच्या राज्यपाल पदाच्या कार्यकाळात त्यांनी तेथे अनेक सेवा प्रकल्प राबवले. मुंबई येथे उपनगर शिक्षण मंडळाच्या माध्यमातून त्यांनी शिक्षणापासून वंचित घटकांना शिक्षणाची दालने उघडली. पद्मनाभ आचार्य कृतार्थ जीवन जगले, असे राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी आपल्या शोकसंदेशात म्हटले आहे.

Padmanabh Acharya lived a purposeful life – Maharashtra Governor

Mumbai Dated 10 : The Governor Ramesh Bais has expressed condolences on the demise of former Governor of Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh Padmanabh Acharya in Mumbai. In a condolence message, Governor Bais wrote:   “I was deeply saddened to learn about the demise of former Governor of Nagaland Shri Padmanabh Acharya. A true warrior, he dedicated his life for the unity of the country. Spending many years in the North Eastern States, he understood the problems of the people and worked diligently to bring back people into the mainstream of the country. During his tenure as Governor of Nagaland, he implemented various service projects in different parts of the State. As the Founding father of the Upanagar Shikshan Mandal in Mumbai, he opened the gates of education for the marginalised sections of education. Padmanabha Acharya lived a purposeful life. My deepest condolences.”
