मुंबई, दि. 3 : दक्षता जनजागृती सप्ताहानिमित्त राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी आज राजभवनातील कर्मचारी व अधिकारी यांना भ्रष्टाचार निर्मूलनाची ‘सत्यनिष्ठा प्रतिज्ञा’ दिली.
देशाच्या आर्थिक, राजकीय व सामाजिक प्रगतीमध्ये भ्रष्टाचार मोठा अडथळा आहे. भ्रष्टाचाराविरुद्ध लढा देण्यासाठी लाच न घेण्याची तसेच न लाच देण्याची, तसेच व्यापक समाज हितासाठी कार्य करण्याची शपथ राज्यपालांनी यावेळी उपस्थितांना दिली.
राज्यपालांच्या प्रभारी सचिव श्वेता सिंघल यांनी उपस्थितांसमोर राज्यपालांच्या तसेच मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांच्या संदेशांचे वाचन केले.
भारताला विकसित राष्ट्र बनविण्यासाठी स्वातंत्र्याचा अमृतकाळ महत्त्वाचा आहे. देश भ्रष्टाचारमुक्त झाला तर विकसित भारताचे उद्दिष्ट अधिक लवकर साध्य करता येईल. या दृष्टीने वैयक्तिक तसेच संस्थात्मक स्तरावर पारदर्शकता, प्रामाणिकपणा आणि सचोटीची संस्कृती रुजविणे आवश्यक आहे, असे प्रतिपादन राज्यपालांनी आपल्या संदेशातून केले.
विकसित भारताच्या दिशेने जाताना भ्रष्टाचार मुळापासून नष्ट करणे हे शासनाचे प्रथम उद्दिष्ट आहे. दक्षता जनजागृती सप्ताहामुळे भ्रष्टाचाराची साखळी तोडण्यासाठी नागरिक जागरूक होतील, तसेच भ्रष्टाचार निर्मूलन चळवळीत नागरिकांचा सहभाग वाढेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी आपल्या संदेशातून सांगितले.
दि. 30 ऑक्टोबर ते 5 नोव्हेंबर या कालावधीत राज्यात दक्षता जनजागृती सप्ताह साजरा करण्यात येत असून ‘भ्रष्टाचाराला नाही म्हणा; राष्ट्रासाठी वचनबद्ध व्हा’ ही संकल्पना त्यासाठी निश्चित करण्यात आली आहे.

Governor Bais gives Integrity Pledge to Staff, Officers of Raj Bhavan
Mumbai 3 : Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais gave the ‘Integrity Pledge’ to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan on the occasion of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Fri (3 Nov.)
Observing that corruption is a major obstacle to the economic, political and social progress of the country, the Governor appealed to all to uphold integrity and honesty; and to ‘not to accept or give bribes’.
The Secretary to the Governor (In-charge) Shweta Singhal read out the messages of the Governor and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on the occasion.
The ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ is being observed across the state from October 30 to November 5. ‘Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation’ has been decided as the theme of the Week.
Special Secretary to the Governor Vipin Kumar Saxena, Comptroller of the Governor’s Households Arun Anandkar and Deputy Secretary Ravindra Dhurjad were present.
